Wearing this brand for years.

I have been wearing this specific Safilo Elasta EL3055 style frame for over 35 years with great comfort and durability. The main issue is getting replacement parts. The replaceable nose bridges and screws are no problem in that they are obtainable from local optometrists. The temples are the issue. As durable as the frames are the weakest and most annoying and detracting feature is the finish or plating on the temples. If you live in a warm climate, you sweat and this perspiration, being acid in content, just eats up the finish to where they become rough and unattractive. I have been complaining in vain to suppliers and directly to Safilo regarding the availability of temples. I have about six pairs of frames with damaged temples and no chance of replacement. The temples last for about three to four years at best and do make it thru two lens changes. Other than the corrosion issue they are almost indestructible.

Have used this frame for over 15 years, solid, big view area in lens and durable for work. Retired now, no eye glass insurance with Medicare, Frames Direct cut the cost of frame and lenses in half, compared to local market. Thanks!!!!!

Ordered Safilo Elasta EL3055 frame on 4/20/16 with lenses. Website worked well and I was able to upload prescription and photo for determining pupil distance. I was kept well informed by Vicky and Maricalla. When the special-order frames arrived (5/24/16) I received a status email and estimate of shipping date. Eyeglasses arrived in Florida about a week later. Workmanship appears just fine. Vision is improved. Now I will be ordering the same again with tinted frames. Thanks for a good experience.

Glasses much more fascinating and very excellent quality and very comfortable with the use without delay in receiving mail and access everything very good. I would not hesitate to order from you next time. And I don't need to think about for advice buying from your website to my relatives and my friends to deal with you.
