Complete the reimbursement form for your insurance provider.
Attach your itemized FramesDirect.com order receipt or invoice (which will be emailed to you).
Submit the receipt and reimbursement form to your vision insurance company.

Do You Take Medicaid for Eyeglasses?

FramesDirect.com does not take any insurance, including Medicaid. We provide a generic out-of-network reimbursement form that you can submit for reimbursement for your corrective lenses.

What if My Plan Isn’t on Your List?

Use the Generic Reimbursement Form to submit your claim for eye care and vision correction if your insurance provider isn’t listed.

Are Glasses Tax Deductible?

According to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), reading or prescription eyeglasses are tax deductible if you itemize your deductions for a taxable year. You can only deduct the amount of your total medical expenses that exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income.

Can I Use My Vision Insurance on Non-Prescription Sunglasses?

In most cases, the answer is no. You may get a discount on non-prescription sunglasses if you buy them from a retailer that’s in your insurance provider’s network. Check with your vision insurance company or employer to learn what’s included in your vision service plan.
