I've been wearing this style for years and years! Every time I have a new RX I order this style again. My eyes are sensitive to the sun and the wrap styles covers more. They are light and stay on during bike rides. Only negative, I wish they had a discount for repeat customers - Maui Jim glasses are getting to the point where I can't afford them.

I've had 4 or 5 pair of Maui Jim sunglasses, including some non-prescription Banyans, but this was my first prescription pair of Banyans. The frame is very nice-looking, and super-lightweight like all MJs I've had. The optics are excellent -- crystal clear from edge to edge, and a very pleasant tint. The design is different from the non-prescription version, in that the non-prescription has a frame across the top of the lens, while the prescription has just a piece that bridges the lenses and attaches to each lens by a single screw at the nose-piece. I've had the lenses remade twice, because the lenses developed hairline cracks at the nose after a few months of gentle use. My non-prescription Banyans are probably five years old and have never had a problem, but with the prescription version, I'm now on my third set of lenses in under two years. I cannot say enough good things about Maui Jims service. They really do stand behind their products, and they gave me no trouble at all when I sent the glasses in for a warranty repair, twice. I'm absolutely loyal to this company for life, but I think my next pair of prescription sunglasses will be a different Maui Jim model from the Banyans. I love these, but they're not holding up as well as my other MJ glasses.
